Our Harmony with Nature Sets Us Apart

Fifty years ago developers had a vision that they could build a community with hotels, golf courses, shops, private home and condos on this paradise at the south end of Amelia Island. They found twelve thousand pristine forested acres between two miles of oceanfront and marshland. With strong guidelines, enforced by the Amelia Island Plantation, a couple thousand home and condo residences could be built, supported by a major hotel and two spectacular golf courses, all while preserving the natural beauty and home to hundreds of species of animals, birds and other wildlife.

Over the last ten years, due to a number of circumstances, evidence shows that these assets should have been maintained better. But it is not too late to recover and establish the guidelines for another fifty years of natural beauty.
